ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Kayla, the one behind the camera! I’m a family, maternity, and newborn photographer based in Olathe and serving the greater Kansas City area, and I truly believe the most precious moments are often the ones that go unnoticed in the rush of everyday life.
After nearly ten years in the Houston area, my family and I recently moved back “home” to Kansas, and it's been so wonderful to be part of this amazing community!
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Since receiving my first dSLR camera for my sixteenth birthday, I’ve fallen in love with the way a single image can preserve a fleeting moment and tell a story that lasts a lifetime.
MY APPROACH
My sessions are relaxed, natural, and centered on family connection.I take a lifestyle approach to photography, which means I’m not focused on stiff poses or perfect behavior. Instead, I gently guide you while leaving space for real moments to unfold!

I’m drawn to warm golden light, genuine emotion, and true-to-life color.
My editing style enhances what’s already there, soft warmth, rich tones, and natural skin tones, so your images feel timeless and real.
BEYOND THE LENS
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll most likely find me at home with my family, soaking in the same fleeting moments I love capturing for others. I’m a wife to the most incredible husband, and together we’re raising our two young children, embracing all the joy, chaos, and beauty this season brings.
Before stepping fully into photography and motherhood, I spent eight years working as a registered nurse and still carry a deep love for caring for others, especially individuals with special needs. These days, I’m grateful for the flexibility photography gives me to pursue both motherhood and creativity, two things that mean so much to me.
I love the Lord, believe deeply in the beauty of everyday moments, and will never say no to a good breakfast: pancakes, eggs, oatmeal… you name it, I love it!
MY WHY
This work is personal to me.
My husband and I walked through a season of infertility before being blessed with our two children, and that journey shaped the way I see and value motherhood in a deeper way than I ever expected. Because of that season, I don’t take these moments for granted. I know how much it means to hold your baby, to watch them grow, to be in the middle of a season you once longed for.
I carry a special place in my heart for families who have experienced infertility or loss. If that’s part of your story, I see you and it would be an honor to document your journey with care and understanding.
