ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m a Kansas-based photographer with a heart for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. After nearly ten years in the Houston, Texas area, my family and I recently moved back “home” to Kansas, and I’m now thrilled to serve clients throughout the Kansas City metro - Olathe, Overland Park, Lenexa, and beyond! Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but it truly became a passion when I received my first DSLR camera for my 16th birthday. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the way a single photo can preserve a fleeting moment and tell a story that lasts a lifetime.

I bring a sentimental heart to every session—because I don’t just want to take pictures; I want to help you hold onto the people, milestones, and memories that matter most! Whether you're celebrating a growing family, marking a new season, or simply wanting to document everyday joy, I'm honored to play a small part in telling your story through my lens!

Outside of photography, I’m a wife to the most incredible husband, and we’re currently soaking up life with our joyful (and occasionally sassy) toddler. I spent eight years working as a registered nurse and have such a heart for working with individuals with special needs. These days, I’m embracing my role as a stay-at-home mama, and I’m grateful for the flexibility photography gives me to pursue both motherhood and creativity. I love the Lord, believe in the beauty of everyday moments, and will never say no to a good breakfast—pancakes, eggs, oatmeal, you name it!
